Last week, our class had great fun organising and running a class market for the school community. As we had been learning about money in Maths, we decided there would be no better way to develop our understanding of the value of money than through a real-life learning experience. The children worked incredibly hard preparing for the big day. We had a wonderful variety of cookies and baked goods for sale, along with second-hand books and toys. The children also showcased their creativity by making beautiful crafts, including bracelets and origami creations, which were very popular with our customers! Everyone played an important role in setting up the market, serving customers, handling money, and working together as a team. The excitement and enthusiasm throughout the day were fantastic to see, and the children thoroughly enjoyed watching the profits grow.
